CRIMINAL

LAW

If the police arrest you and accuse you of a crime, you need to ensure your rights are not violated. The criminal justice system is complex, and trying to represent yourself could cause unwarranted punishment, especially if you were wrongly accused of a crime.

Sometimes authorities make mistakes – they are human. To ensure you receive the best possible outcome in a criminal case, whether it’s a felony, misdemeanor, traffic case, or DUI, always retain a criminal defense lawyer to help you navigate the system and receive the best possible outcome.

NSW Law, LLC specializes in criminal law, including homicides and other major felony offenses, misdemeanors, traffic infractions, drug offenses, and ordinance violations. We also handle expungements. We combine our experience working as a prosecutor with our experience as a criminal defense attorney to develop a strategy to obtain the best possible outcome, whether it’s settling out of court or going to bench trials and jury trials.

As part of the process of developing a strategy to help you, we evaluate the prosecution’s evidence, including witness statements, police reports, and other documentation, and any forensic evidence the prosecution gathers to look for weaknesses in the prosecution’s case. Depending on your circumstances, we may challenge evidence, work out a plea bargain, or even go to trial.

DUI

Indiana “stacks” DUI charges. For each DUI you are convicted of, the penalty is higher and can result in heavy fines and prison time. Our DUI attorneys have former prosecution experience and understand how the state builds cases against you.

If you were charged with a DUI, even your first one, don’t go through the court process alone and risk getting the maximum penalties. We will review your charges, driving record, and other personal information to create a strategy to obtain the best possible outcome, whether it’s your first DUI or you have multiple DUIs.

TRAFFIC INFRACTIONS

As with all other states, Indiana has traffic laws that have consequences if you break them. Most traffic infractions are misdemeanors. However, the police can arrest you for a felony traffic violation if you are a repeat offender, you caused the death of another or caused significant property damage because of your actions.

Traffic violations include speeding, ignoring traffic control devices, reckless driving, and more. Penalties may include license suspension, fines and jail, or prison time, depending on your individual circumstances.

Instead of trying to handle a traffic offense yourself, contact a traffic violation attorney at NSW Legal, LLC, for a consultation.
